Upper Extremity - Stage 0

Definition: No swelling visible, impaired lymphatics, no skin changes. Symptoms are reversible with compression

Day Compression:

Compression choice:

Class 0:

• (15-20mmHg) circular knit / seamless (standard RTW)
• Indicated for “prophylactic” use

Class 1:

• (20-30mmHg) circular knit / seamless (standard RTW)
• Indicated for “heaviness” of limb

• Circular knit / seamless product options: Soft CG (sleeve), Soft AC (gauntlet), Soft ACFS (glove w/finger stubs)
• Indicated for “prophylactic” use

Juzo Dynamic

• Circular knit / seamless product options: Dynamic CG (sleeve)
• Indicated for “heaviness” of limb

Juzo Basic

• Circular knit / seamless product options: Basic CG (sleeve), Basic AC (gauntlet), Basic ACFS (glove w/finger stubs)
• Indicated for “light prophylactic” use (limited sizes)

Night Compression:

Not needed:
No swelling present, day treatment maintains which prevents progression of the disease

Tips:

• The day garment should fit snugly and maintain a decongestive size; if it doesn't, choose a material that contains more.
• Apply compression to one joint below the visible swelling; for example, if the wrist is swelling, use a glove.
• Use a gauntlet for preventive purposes (when swelling does not extend to the wrist)
• Compression garments can be used for long flights or prolonged periods of standing
